Surgical skill assessment
Computer-vision methods for objectively assessing orthopedic surgical skill from fluoroscopic images. See the completed dissertation.
Completed work:
- XNAT-Interact — wrapper library and protocols for storing medical images and derived data.
- FluoroAnalysisTool — interface for semi-automated annotation of fluoroscopic images; effectiveness validated in this publication.
Mesh generation for hydrodynamic domains
Automatic generation of unstructured meshes for 2D shallow-water hydrodynamic models (ADCIRC). See the completed thesis and the Ecosystem Wiki for depth.
Completed work:
- CHILmesh — data representation for mixed-element (quad & triangle) meshes.
Ongoing work:
- MADMESHing — mixed-element advanced mesh generator; a reinforcement-learning take on my master's thesis. A computational paper will compare tri- and quad-only meshes to mixed-element meshes across hydrodynamic domains.
- ADMESH — Python port of the MATLAB ADMESH library.
- Valence / ADMESH-Domains — federated registry of ADCIRC mesh domains.
- QuADMESH+ — quadrangular advanced mesh generator.
